The event has suffered significant withdrawals as major artists claim they were misled about its political nature. Country star Martina McBride , The Commodores, Young MC, and Morris Day & The Time all withdrew, with McBride stating the nonpartisan framing turned out to be misleading. Kimmel described the remaining lineup, headlined by Flo Rida, Vanilla Ice, and Bret Michaels, as, "Coachella for bands that hired their cousin as their tour manager." The event faces additional complications with Milli Vanilli scheduled to perform despite one frontman being deceased and the actual vocalists claiming no involvement.
